Cowboy parking enforcement companies are still “conning” drivers despite new controls on their activities, the AA has warned.
New rules introduced this week stipulate that ticketing firms must be full members of an approved operator scheme, administered by the British Parking Association, to trace vehicle owners via the DVLA.
But The AA said cowboy enforcers were threatening to source owner details even though, as non-members of the relevant, association, they were banned from doing so.
