The Licensing Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), intends to offer new categories of distinguished number plates topped by the 2-digit plates (G 98, H 91) and the 3-digit plates (I 786, J 333) in the 68th Distinguished Number Plates Auction to be held on Saturday 7th August 2010.
According to Mohammed Abdul Kareem Nimaat, Director of Vehicle Licensing, Licensing Agency, individuals interested in participating and competing in the said Auction had to register as early as possible.
“Registration will open as of 01/08/2010 at Service Centers of the Licensing Agency or RTA portal. The subscriber has to submit a financial guarantee of 10,000 dirham as a refundable deposit; a prerequisite for participating in the Auction; which will be held at the Theatre Hall, Block B, RTA new Premises, Al Garhoud”.
“RTA distinguished number plates auctions are making steady successes judging by the huge number of participants from all community segments hailing from all Emirates of the UAE. RTA is therefore keen on renewing & improving the mechanism of the Auction, and diversifying the issuance of new categories of numbers to serve the needs of interested participants who are concerned with owning various types of distinguished number plates,” said Nimaat.
“Licensing Agency, in cooperation with other concerned bodies, has completed all preparations necessary for the success of the event, and the work team has provided all logistics required for enhancing the caliber of the event; which targets all segments of the community,” said Nimaat in a final comment.
