'Bird flu' is up for grabs on eBay! London | March 02, 2006 4:24:43 PM IST A "bird flu" car registration number has gone on sale on eBay for 9,000 pounds. The number HN51 FLU is billed as the closest you can get to having a legal street registration plate. HN51 FLU, is similar to H5N1 - the scientific name for the virus strain. "Although not quite H5N1, this is the closest you can get on a street-legal licence," the Sun quoted the seller, from Cardiff, South Wales as saying. If a bidder does not want to wait for the auction to end, they can pay a "buy it now" price of 20,000. An additional 105 pound DVLA transfer fee has to be paid for the plate.(ANI)
