Maureen is Featherstone's top fan
MAUREEN Tennant-King (pictured) is Featherstone Rovers' most dedicated
supporter.
Fifty-year-old Maureen's fanatical devotion to Rovers was rewarded when
she impressed a panel of judges to win an award in a competition run by
LHF Healthplan, official sponsors of the LHF Healthplan National League.
Maureen has been a Rovers fan for 50 years and everything in her life has revolved round the club. At her wedding the theme colour was blue and white and she and her husband have personalised number plates which read L4FEV and T4FEV, She also supports the club by sponsoring a players kit and one of the young lads from the scholarship, as well as organising various activities to raise the profile of the club. As part of her prize, Maureen and the most dedicated fans from other National League One and Two sides were introduced on the pitch to the crowd at the LHF Healthplan Grand Final. They also received an exclusive signed shirt and ball for their beloved team. Maureen said: "I would just like to thank LHF Healthplan for recognising my dedication and love for my team Featherstone Rovers. I have had a brilliant day and the experience will stay with me forever." Jane Fenwick, LHF Healthplan marketing manager, said: "LHF are delighted to recognise Maureen Tenant King as Featherstone's 'Most Dedicated Fan'. The supporters are the heart and soul of the LHF National League and awards such as these are recognition of their continued loyalty and support."
