A failed asylum seeker used a false passport to obtain a driving licence in a bogus name.
Sukhjinder Singh (31) used the documents, in the name Jasdeep Virk, to illegally obtain a £120,000 mortgage, a £5,000 loan and car hire.
Singh, of Fairfax Road, Northfields, Leicester, was jailed for 12 months.
